Ribbon-Cuttings

One of the most exciting events for a new or existing business, is celebrating a grand opening, anniversary, or recent achievement.

The MetroWest Chamber of Commerce offers its assistance in the planning and preparation of your Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. We provide the “large” scissors and the ribbon. Our staff will photograph the event to "preserve the moment" and acknowledge the event through posting photos through various media outlets.

The Chamber would be delighted to help your business celebrate with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony if the company has opened its doors in the last 12 months to recognize a Grand Opening,  changed ownership or is under new management, moved to a new location, been remodeled or expanded at its present location, is celebrating an Anniversary or Special Achievement or offering a new service or product.

A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony can be an important part of your overall marketing and advertising plan and is a great way to kick-off a grand opening of a business.  It offers an opportunity to meet key leaders in the community and get acquainted with your neighbors and Chamber members.

The Chamber staff will help you make things go as smoothly as possible by:  notifying the Chamber's Board of Directors, Town Dignitaries and chamber members to encourage them to attend your event, putting you in touch with other Chamber businesses that can provide catering, deli and beverage services, publicity and even invitations if desired, bringing the large scissors and taking pictures at the appointed time.

After the event we will Include the photo(s) and acknowledgment of your ribbon cutting event in the Chamber's “Tuesday at Two” weekly E-Newsletter, on the Chamber’s facebook page and website.

There is no charge for the Chamber's involvement.  It is a value-added benefit of being a member of the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce.

 

In addition to the people that Chamber invites you can also invite neighbor businesses, existing customers, suppliers to your trade, prospects, personal friends and family. You can serve food and refreshments if desired, preparing your own or hiring a caterer.

You can promote your business to people attending by having drawings or door prizes, certificates or coupons, giveaways & promotional materials, collateral materials available such as business cards, brochures and additional literature.
